I have a multicolored butterfly tattoo, Is it possible to change the red to purple?

As long as the purple is a darker color then the red.

yes they can tattoo right over it, the colors are dry so they wont blend.
Yep Purple to red will work. You can only change to darker colors though. you could not change your purple to green for example
