I have recently put a blue and black butterfly tattoo on my ankle, to cover up bad scarring from a previous…

tattoo that I had tried to get lasered off. The doctor basically didn’t space out my treatments far enough and it damaged my skin. When i went to another doctor he told be that I had no choice but to do skin graphs or skin resurfacing, both of which would leave new scarring…I basically had no choice, but to get the butterfly. Although people have told me thatit looks very attractive, I am still a bit offensive about it. I would like to have hear the experiences of women who have had a visible tattoo (ankle, etc…) How has your work experience been like? How has your tattoo affected you while you gae and your appearance changed as well? Do you find it that people usually judge you? I am planning on becoming a teacher in secondary education and am a little nervous as to how my experience will be like. My younger cousin recently explained to me that I will definately regret my tattoo as I get older. I am also a mom. I really would like to hear from people in similiar situations.

How are you going to wear dresses to the school with a tattoo on your ankle? The school won’t allow that. You will have to wear pants all the time with trouser socks that will cover it up.

I think you mean you are a bit DEFENSIVE about it.

Are you sure you want to be a teacher?

Wanting to become a teacher as you write, you are already trying to predict how people ought to be responding towards your tattoo. From your statement your scaring was offencive to you. Have you asked people if it was effusive to them before you decided to get this tattoo??? You can only be happy with the world and your surroundings, when you are happy with yourself, flaws and everything else in your life.
God bless you.

Is it small enough that you could wear a bandaid to cover it just when you are at work? I don’t know how it will affect how people view you. It’s not like you have your neck done, or an entire arm.
