Shell June 1, 2010 at 1:58 pm: Same answer as everyone else really, do some research, print off images you like and images you dont like, give these to your chosen tattooist and explain to him which bits you like or dont like and let them create a unique design for you. They are artists after all

roverriffer June 1, 2010 at 2:56 pm: When I was getting my hourglass tattooed on my foot, I really didn’t know what I was walking into. I used http://www.corbis.com for my picture. To this day, I love the hourglass still, but you really have high-tolerance pain factor. This is coming from someone who doesn’t flinch and looks at it while getting shots, donate blood, etc. The pain of tattooing the top of your foot, is literally like razor blades cutting across your skin. I wanted to pull my foot away, but duh, you can’t. Just remember, you must love that picture no matter what, and think of pain and cost too, but that’s my two cents. Good luck!
