well its supposed to peal and if its patchy you go back to the tattoo artist and they do free touch ups. ( they should at least) if you got color i dont know why but for some reason on a few of my friends it disappears and then after it full heals it came right back.. but like i said if you dont like how it looks go back to the shop and tell the artist that you want a touch up..

It's normal for some ink to be flaking off. I got from my wrist to my elbow on both arms tattooed and I was flaking for a few days, too. Also, some good advice I heard from a fellow tattooed friend is stop rubbing the Bepanthen cream on it after a few days and just start using a regular body lotion with good moisturizers in it. It will take longer to heal if it doesn't get the chance to air out a bit.

Make sure its actually coming off and not just excess ink coming off on dead skin cells. I lost a few tiny black skin flakes from mine, but not a ton. Look at it or get someone else to look at it closely before you freak out, but if there are empty skin patches go back to the shop immediately and have them fix it.

Don't worry.

It's kinda supposed to happen. You're just cleaning off the excess ink. When you get a tattoo you're actually inserting foreign objects into it so your body is just kinda countering it. So actually it's plasma. The same thing happened to me. It feels all slimy, right?

No worries, just wash off everything with mild soap preferably anti-bacterial with just your fingers(nothing abrasive please). Make sure you get rid of all the excess ink and then stop using the cream. Let it dry heal now. PAT dry. I emphasize on 'pat'.

That's it really. If you see your tattoo fading then there's a problem if not, it's just the normal healing process. Do note that obviously the tattoo will look much darker in the beginning but once it heals it won't be that dark. But its normal!
