Tattoo design advice?

by Maeva

I am looking to get a tattoo on my lower back and I really like some of the butterfly designs. I also was looking to incorporate the lavender ribbon (which is for general cancer) into the design somewhere, does anyone have any suggestion on how I could do this? I thought about trying to make the ribbon the body?
Can I just add that, I know I want a butterfly and know I want the ribbon, I was looking for suggestions on how I could incorporate the two, not opinions on what you think of tattoos.

ok… really really think about this. can you live with that kind of tattoo (trampstamp) for the rest of your life?
if you can, go for it. and i wouldn’t take anyone’s suggestions or advice on a tattoo. it’s your body, if you can’t figure out what you want PERMANENTLY on it, then DON’T do it!!!!!!!!!!

No way to intricate, have the butterfly flat, wings spread with the ribbon incorperated into the pattern in the wings.

Quenny- get something else- all the girls have it already.. I hot the planets Saturn w. a shooting star.

When you go to the clubs, more than 1/4 pf the girl w/ tatoos have a butterfly in the center.. so boring- just being honest.

I like Brent’s idea of having the ribbon be a part of the wings. Pay no mind to the negative comments…get what you want, where you want it.
Butterfly tats are really beautiful, especially the intricate ones.

Put the purple ribbon inside the butterfly wing. Make it part of the butterfly.

Or use the ribbon as the body of the butterfly, like this:

You can always alter it a bit to make it completely original. But it’s a good idea all around. I love tattoos with a cause. It means a lot to so many people. Go for it! And good luck!
