no it has no meaning sexual. it is a symbol of Beauty , the start of adulthood. the butterfly for centuries has represented peace and tranquillity. the butterfly from talented artist on a young lady great compliment. the sad part. to many people are receiving the butterfly. do not understand historical significance. the term fad art is being applied to the butterfly. please consider using older artist. more experience , respect for the meaning. quality Original art work . i hope to days society is not abusing a centuries old tradition . as old guy i am just sick of the disrespect shown to women. to even suggest that you are a lesbian due to artwork. makes me want to gag.

no it in a way means like inner and outter beauty, it also can mean that your are unique in your own way and that your a strong person. Buterflies are used as a symbol for cancer patients that tehy are strong and are fighting a vigerous battle

It may mean different things to different people. Some meanings may be very personal.
I know several women with butterfly tats because it symbolized a transformation in life, usually getting OUT of an abusive relationship, and back into a life of sanity…the metamorphosis thing.
Whether it has other connotations, I cannot tell.

The butterfly is a symbol of transformation or change, love and joy.
In paintings, particularly Dutch Renaissance (sp?) butterflies stand for fleeting love
