where is the best place to put a butterfly tattoo?

my butterfly is inked on the outer side of my right lower leg / ankle..

since your leg is already inked, I would go for one of my shoulder blades..

on the back of your shoulder

I suggest your lower back, or below/above your bellybutton. Your arm is too exposed…you would have trouble covering the tattoo up.

definitely on the small of your back. then it would be a called a “tramp stamp”!

One of my closest friends has just had a beutful butterfyl on her hip, just above her knicker line. I think it looks so nice there! The tattoist did say though that it is one of the more painful areas, as it is on a bone, and she says its awkward not ripping of the scab wiht her clothes but now its healing reeally really well. i think it depends on how much pain you’re willing to go through to get it where you want, some people think the pain is too much to have one so im not trying to say you’re weak. I think you’re brave jusat getting one!
I think thw least pianful place is on the bum, as its all muscle and fat rather than a bone, but sitting down mught be a problem, also somewhere like the arm, although then you’ll have to think about if you want people to see it or not and who adn when. if you want everyone to see it always, I gues theres the cheek!
Jokes aside, I think its a big decsion,as im sure you agree, as its there forever, so if I was you I would writer down all the places you think would be godd for looks alone, forget pain etc, then think about other points on how you can limit this list down! As overall i think how it looks is the most important as the pain will go etc!

The sexiest place would be low on your hip. Right around your belt line. If you plan on having a small butterfly then the ankle would also be a good place. I saw someone with several different butterflys on her upper back. It looked very pretty.

Put it somewhere that you will see it, I have 2 tattoos on my back and I wish I hadn’t…I enjoy the one on my arm everyday =-) I always wanted a butterfly on my wrist. But a saw a girl with one on her….love lump….and it looked so great! She said that while she was in action, it looked like it was flying…Crazy!

i have a huge butterfly on my lower back with a naked butterfly fairy above it, another butterfly on my foot, another on my other foot along with flowers lady bugs and dragon flies….butterflies are in remembrence of a friend i lost…..but then i have a skull on my butt! haha
